The Art of Adulting
The Art of Adulting
The only way to make it through this thing called life is to Google everything and pin everything on Pinterest. Yes, that's right you heard me correctly Google and Pinterest are all you need. Now when I say Google it, I mean type in the question and click the 1st article that pops up because 9 times out of 10 that is the correct one anyways. Pinterest is a vast wasteland of information on EVERYTHING.
Honestly, there is no manual to all of this but the internet sure has a helping hand out there for the taking. Try it, if you don't believe me. I am 27 years old and would not have made it this far in life without Google and Pinterest. I fully believe that the internet helped improve our lives but it has had some detriment. Family time is now spent in silence while everyone has a screen in their face.
I am guilty of allowing my children to spend mindless hours in front of a TV screen but how else would I ever get anything done around the house or in general. We all grew up in front of a TV but if you balance it with playing outside for an hour or two, it evens out. Also, putting on subtitles encourages your children to read if you also turn the volume down. Just a tip from me and Pinterest to you.
Now I know I titled this the Art of Adulting but lets be real, no one has any clue what they are doing at any time of any day. We are all just faking it until we make it. But that is the best part, if you fake it so much that you actually start to believe it then who is there to tell you that it's wrong. Believe in yourself baby! Open every fortune cookie ever and I will probably have or will quote them in some way in all of my blogs or in life in general. But am I wrong?
Do what makes you happy as long as it isn't illegal! Find a role model! Build that vision board! Spend endless hours creating the perfect Pinterest page. Do you honey and keep doing it no matter what. Be happy in the unknown because tomorrow is never promised so why not embrace today. Dance like no one is watching because maybe it will end up going viral on YouTube and making you buttloads of money.
This is probably the most scatterbrained blog post to date but hey, it made you chuckle while reading it so that's a win in my book. I hope everyone is staying safe out there. Be productive in quarantine because why not? Being stir crazy is no fun and procrastination is a serious hindrance. As a fellow procrastinator, I can attest to the fact that quarantine has made me better at it.
