Job Hunting
In this day and age, it is impossible to have a single income household and survive. I left my last job and have been doing the stay at home mom job so that I can virtual school my oldest. I love being able to be home with my kids and get tons of housework done all of the time while being able to relax for once. Unfortunately, that doesn't pay the bills.
My desk never arrived so I had to cancel it and now the waiting for the refund game has began. I intend to buy a desk from Target cause they have never let me down before. I also found an affordable drawer storage system on Amazon as well. I look forward to being able to make the YouTube videos that I've dreamed of making for years.
Until then, I have been applying for all sorts of jobs but they typically require impossibly fast internet and we live in the sticks so that's impossible here. Most of them also are too far to commute for decent pay and since we are down to one car its a scheduling issue. It has been stressful but we've been making things work.
I had cashed out my retirement accounts from my previous job because we needed the money. I plan to invest a ton into my retirement when I get back to work though to make up for it. I just want to be able to sit at home, work from my computer and make my own hours while making at least $15 an hour.
I have become more consistent with my social media presence but I am terribly inconsistent with blog posts unfortunately. I can write blogs for a week straight and then just forget about it. I even have blogging on my schedule in my planner but rarely follow it any way. I don't know why I can never be consistent, maybe I should ask a therapist about it?
My oldest is enjoying virtual school and our one on one time. My other two love having me home way more. I have missed so much of their lives because I had no choice but to work outside of the home. That is life though and I hope one day they will understand that.
Back to the job market, it is crap. There are so many scams out there and then if you use sites like Indeed or Ziprecruiter, you get spammed out of this world in junk emails. It is ridiculous, with the virus paper applications are out of the question. I don't leave the house other than to get the essentials and that's maybe once a week or once a month now.
I have rambled and gone all over the place in this post but I hope you found it informative or at least entertaining. I hope you all are having a wonderful day!
Much love xoxo
