                         Meet My Family





This is going to be shortish and to the point, kind of.  I technically have a large family but I am only going to talk about the ones I interact with in some form.

 My mom and stepdad are pretty cool.  They live like 5 minutes from us and the kids get to see them whenever they want.  They also help with babysitting whenever I work or just need a break.

My little sister who is actually 22 so not that little lives in Nashville, pursuing her dreams of being an animator and she's pretty dang good at it.

 My aunts along with my uncle are the only siblings of my mother's that I have anything to do with because they don't suck like the rest of our family.

  My cousins who I grew up with and still love to torture, because that's what we do.

  My fiancé is one hell of a man, he is truly the blessing I never knew we needed.  He inspires me to be a better me everyday and he supports all of my crazy dreams.

My three wonderful children saved me before I even knew I needed saving.  They keep me humble and help keep me together when I feel like falling apart. 



                    My Extra Family

My best friend Jennifer and her four awesome kids;  Mattie(technically a sibling to my 3 but that's a story for another time), Gemma, Harley and Thea.  They are the best bonus family anyone could ever ask for.


In conclusion, blood isn't always family and family isn't always blood.  But that's the best part, we get to pick our families.  I find it important to try to keep as much negativity away from us as possible but sometimes it slips through the cracks.  I hope you've enjoyed reading this and maybe learned a little more about me as well.  I hope you are having a fabulous day as best you can.  Bye for now!

My Favorite Holiday

                                               My Favorite Holiday     Well seeing as how my birthday is four days after Christmas it is definitely Christmas.  And here's the kicker, it isn't because it is so close to my birthday.  Growing up Christmas was such a wonderful time in our family because everyone came together and spent a whole day being happy and civil with each other.  Differences were put aside and everyone got along even during dinner.  My grandparents always made the holidays that much more magical.  My aunt always went above and beyond with her decorations so it was always a winter wonderland whenever we went to her house during Christmas.     When my grandparents passed it was like our family fell apart.  You never realize what is holding a group together until it is suddenly not t...

Getting Tested for Covid19

Well figured I would write about my experience and why I was tested since it is most likely to become the norm.  I work for the Department of Corrections which means I am exposed to the virus every time I go to work as a good portion of our inmates has tested positive already.  I was tested the first time because it was mandatory at work and that test hurt like hell but came back negative thankfully.  However, I did end up in a two week quarantine due to being around my stepdad who also works at the same facility who tested positive at the time.  Was not fun but spent a lot of time with my children and my man and survived it.  Fast forward to a week ago and I was tested again, voluntarily this time as I was showing the majority of the symptoms.  That test was not as painful and luckily came back negative.  I have missed several days of work due to this virus but I work for the state so they have a contingency plan for our pay during this.  I am bl...
